KENZO H&M PRE-LAUNCH PARTY

Lois Opoku lisforlois Kenzo hm Party
My last event before I left for Ghana was the long awaited pre-launch party of the H&M x Kenzo collaboration. These H&M parties are what people live for and everyone wants to get on the list, because not only do you get to shop the collection in a much secludedter crowd and certain amount of comfort (i.e. you won't get trampled over, you do not have to wait in line 6 a.m. in the morning when the store opens 9 a.m. plus you don't have to fight with shopaholic xyz over that same dress, because it's the last in your size!) a night earlier, but the party itself is super fun too.
The collection itself wasn't really a stunner and I think people weren't really buying into the hype as they did for H&M Balmain or Alexander Wang or Versace..

SUEDE AND LACED

Suede skirt Streetstyle lisforlois
NEED
I cannot deal with Berlin's weather right now which is why I'm escaping to the last few of my summer looks that are still unpublished. This is one of the looks I wore to Bread&Butter. I mixed suede and tan with black lace up details and finished it of with gold jewelry. I've been loving my jewelry from Stella&Dot which I've been wearing to every outfit in different combinations, which is why it's all the more annoying that my favorite pieces are left to dust on his shelf right on top of his bed knowing I'll never see it again.. *eye roll*
Good thing material things can be replaced.. another emotional bruise from meeting him is so not worth it. If he were to man up, he'd send them to me instead of using them as a cheap excuse to force me or worse blackmail me into seeing him again.

Anyway, can we have summer back please?! Who even enjoys freezing winter..?

LITTLE GUCCI SOMETHING..

Gucci Soho Keychain lisforlois
Yet another Gucci purchase! And I haven't even shown you the first. But as I said in my wish list post I wanted to make myself a little gift and I got it: the Gucci SoHo key holder.
I was lucky enough to get the last one of Breuninger. How gorgeous is this little Gucci SoHo keychain? The leather is so soft and it feels very luxe. Not only can I fit in my keys, but it's actually big enough to fit a little credit card, some coins and mini sized lipsticks (like these ones from YSL I often carry with me but get lost in my handbag) without being to big or bulgy.
The zip really is a bonus! I have been thinking about getting a new key holder for a while now, because my old one from H&M has gotten super rusty over the years. I wanted to go for something

CAMEL ON CAMEL ON CAMEL - GPD DAY 1

camel on camel outfit lois opoku lisforloisWhat's good squad?
I just wanted to share my look from the Press Days last week with you guys. I went for total camel look, somewhat looking like I was trying to challenge how much camel one can wear before looking like one. I don't know why but I really wanted to combine these culottes with the top, both new in my closet which I snagged of the sale at Mango.
After having kept my Rihanna x Puma creepers safely tucked in the farthest corner of my closet (talk about "I need these shoes so desperately in my closet else my world will stop!" .. oh the power of a hype *smh*), I finally brought them out months after the release party and staying up to midnight to buy them. I've been wearing them a lot lately. I kind of remembered why I got them in the first place and why I fell for the hype.
They are pretty amazing, don't you think?

MBFW BERLIN FASHION WEEK - DAY FOUR

lois-floral-13 fashion week street style
Hey guys!

How have you been? How was your summer? I just got back from 3 weeks in Kenya. I apologize for the awful quietness here on the blog. Initially I auto-planned some posts for you but it all got lost in the hectic of getting ready for Kenya.
Anyway I can't wait to share my travel pictures from Kenya with you! But first I want to complete my fashion week diaries and show you my last outfit. Also, I'll still be posting some material from Fashion Week throughout the next weeks, well because I can. Don't be confused.

I held day 4 at fashion week super low key, I was in an awful lot of pain but I dragged myself to two shows because I had backstage appointments too, opportunities I really didn't miss out on. My energy however was not enough for the much sought after Marina H. show (which blew minds btw!) or her closing party at night, even after coming back to rest at home. Sometimes when your body says no, you gotta respect that.
Nevertheless I never forgot to wear my smile as my prettiest accessory.

SUMMER ON A BOAT WITH PFLANZENFREUDE.DE

Lois Opoku white dress summer lisforlois
A couple of week back, we got very lucky in Berlin. Well summer has decided to return this week, but that day, the sun decided to grace us with her presence after weeks of rain and Pflanzenfreude.de took us on a boat trip across the Spree. What a perfect day to wear white, Joeva and me did not .
I wore my white dress I got on a little shopping spree with Domi and Mali to Forever 21. It's the perfect summer mini dress. Cute, flowy and a sweet front detail. I chose to wear espadrilles, simple, comfy and still chic, especially navy striped espadrilles or chanel look-a-likes (my personal favorite).
It was a beautiful day and I had a lot of fun. Some of you followed my story on snapchat (loisopoku), you know what I'm talking about. I'm sorry, but you just can't suppress your inner Beyonce ;P
Surrounded by pretty flowers and plants, endless cups of froyo + fruits, summer lemonade with the sun kissing my skin as the swift breeze of Berlin's Spree cooled my face - a moment of total bliss.
You know that tingling sensations on your skin? That's summer.
If every day could start like that... *sigh*
Thanks for having me on board, Pflanzenfreude.de - Thanks for filling my morning with a little more Freude (def.: happiness)

STUCK IN A PHASE OF "I HATE MY BLOG.."

Lois Opoku Nümph print pants lisforlois
Time is a funny thing.
Looking at the time stamp on my latest post. 35 days ago... wow. This is the longest time I've gone without blogging. If you follow me on Instagram, you've seen I'm still attending events, still embarking on adventures and little stories, so still a lot of content to blog about. The blank space that has been growing and stretching out uncontrollably here as if exponential, you see, was not due to lack of content. But rather to a sense of my own unhappiness, ever growing dissatisfaction, discontent and finally disaffection with this space.
When there is no progress, no growth (not in terms of followers but rather self growth and in terms quality), no development I feel at unease. Yet time is ticking (way too fast), this space is getting older but it's not growing up. It feels like it's staying an infant child forever, stuck in one developing stage, impossible to advance.
That's what gets me.

L IS FOR LOIS x FOOT LOCKER: HAPPY AIR MAX DAY

foot locker air max day lois opoku lisforlois airtime air max day foot locker lisforlois
Air Max, oh Air Max!
26th March marked the Air Max Day, a day dedicated to a sneaker that's become a classic around the world and cultures, men and women, kids and grown ups. Everyone has their personal stories, childhood memories, their first summer at the lake in Air Max, stealing or their first homeparty in these sneakers.
I still remember when I first acknowleged the beauty of the sneakers, my neighbour got me so fixated on them. Not long until I got my first pair, a surprise present from Nike, Limited Edition Nike Air Max 1 in Julep Lime that seemed sold out everywhere. Soon after I practically started living in Air Max, my most comfiest sneakers. But I think Air Max have become a fashion statement too. Next to Stan Smiths or Superstars, Nike Air Max have been the choice of sneakers during Fashion Week and they've been popping up everywhere on Streetstyle Blogs and even Vogue, Elle and Nylon.
I teamed up with Foot Locker to celebrate the Air Max Day.

Everyone got online using the hashtags #airtime and #airmaxday, creators and you, have been sharing your personal Air Max Day stories and pictures on Instagram and Social Media. I really enjoyed stalking those hashtags that day. Here's my picture I created for Instagram and below are all the outfit pictures. Hope you enjoy this post!
Until next year Air Max Day!

STYLE IDEAS I MONACO LUXE ESCAPE

Sunglasses I Sonnenbrille: Dior So Real

Dress I Kleid: Chloe SS15
Hat I Hut: Lack of Color
Sandals I Sandalen: Miu Miu
Necklace I Kette: Madeleine Issing
Bracelet I Armband: Chloe
Lipstick I Lippenstift: MAC Velvet Teddy

I'm a huge fan of Resort collections. Inspired by Monaco's flair and some of my favorite resort 2015 collections (Chloe SS15 and Zimmerman Resort 2015 are *HEAVEN* sent) and the lack of sun, summer and salty beaches (major case of wanderlust!) I'm reviving my Style Ideas category created to inspire you.
Today's edition is all about your Monaco Luxe Escape wardrobe. Monaco for me is all about the luxury, flowing gowns, the colors white or black paired with cotton candy pink or cognac leather, navy stripes of a day out on the yacht, total elegance and the feeling of sipping glasses of bordeaux or Chardonnay as the sun sets from a balcony (Hotel Martinez perhaps?) with a killer view overlooking the endless ocean and palm trees.

THE BEACH LOOK

Sunglasses I Sonnenbrille: Celine Papillon
Hair I Haar: Moroccanoil
Bathing Suit I Schwimmanzug: Norma Kamali
Hat I Hut: Eugenia Kim
Sun screen I Sonnencreme: Skinceuticals Brightening UV Defense 30 SPF
Bracelet I Armband: J. Crew
Wedges: See By Chloe

STYLE THE KIDS
Total LOOK: Petit Bateau

But Monaco isn't just a destination it's a perfect family get-away too. Imaging sailing away into the never ending ocean for a couple of days on your yacht with your family and kids. Going to Monaco you'd want your kids to dress the part too. Luxury and stylish dressing isn't limited to grown-ups, as little Miss North West keeps proving day by day. (How does this 2-year old have a better wardrobe than me?!)
I found the cutest luxury kids and baby wear label: Petite Bateau via Melijoe. The label itself means little ship. So perfect for your luxe escape. The latest Petite Bateau collection is supercute and has lots a pieces that just make me want to have lots of little babies so I can dress them up in all of Petite Bateau's new pieces
I picked out a luxe escape wardrobe for Little HIM and Little HER.
But please, can we just take a moment to appreciate how cute stylish kids are?!
Petit Bateau near you? Try the Ladenfinder.

Hope you enjoyed Style Ideas. I'm planing on doing more posts like these.

CAROLINE BLOMST x ESPRIT SWIMWEAR COLLECTION LAUNCH

lois opoku esprit x caroline blomst swimwear collection launch lisforlois esprit x caroline blomst swimwear collection launch lisforlois
You may have seen on my Instagram (@LisforLois) that I've had my first swim this year! Esprit rented out the Stadtbad Neukölln, which by the way is one of the most beautiful swimming pools I've seen in Berlin. Ancient paintings and frescos, greek architecture.. ah! All to present their latest design collaboration with none other than Stockholm Streetstyle's very own Caroline Blomst. I've always admired her sense of style and her vision to discover great looks on the streets of pretty much anywhere now, not limited to Stockholm as the name of the blog may convey.
I was looking forward to see what she created.
After arriving two hours late - yes, sadly I missed the swim dancers, I had misread my invitation - I still took my time to browse through the new collection while sipping freshly made smoothies and munching on my fruit bowl.
Jasmin, me and Cindy from the Esprit took it upon ourselves to jump into the pool. The water was so inviting! While most girls left, we couldn't complain having the pool all to ourselves. I mean why did Esprit rent the entire place for, right? :)

My favorite piece of the Esprit x Caroline Blomst collection has to be the white bathing suit, that has such a timeless cut. The bikinis are well padded and have very flattering cut for your cleavage. Trust me, even my mini boobs looked nice and plum. The collection mainly plays with different patterns and different kind of mix and match styles to every pattern and cut.
Overall a cute collection Esprit and Caroline Blomst have created together.
I'm summer ready..

RED ACCENTS AND LACE DETAILS

Lois Opoku fall fashion lisforlois michael kors mini bag
Hey Guys,

How have you been? I'm back at uni. I've pretty much hated uni the past year, but this year is different. I'm motivated, and I've even managed to programme some really awesome shit. Yeah, yeah i know it's pretty basic sofar, but I won't let anyone rain on my parade. Having no prior knowledge to computing whatsoever, I feel elated and very much like an OG when I write my own programes and get them to actually work.
If you don't already know I study Business + IT here in Berlin since last year. Ehem this year. Last year was more of an alibi thing. I was struggling and ended up not going at all, because at uni you are free to choose to attend. And one thing I like to do is avoid and stay clear from things that I don't like, that make me uncomfortable.
This year is going to be different.

I chose some cute pieces from Wallis for today's look. Perfect for fall transitioning I chose this sweater with lace detail - its accent matching perfectly with my lil Michael Kors. For accessorizing I limited myself to arm swag and statement studs which I also got from Wallis. (How cute is that glittery buckle belt bracelet?!)
I've always been a huge fan of patent leather loafers and I wore my first pair I got from H&M to death. So I can't be more happy to finally have a new pair. They still need adjusting to my feet and once they get comfortable, my feet and them slippers will be inseparable.
These faux ponyhair slippers are everything.

2 NEW THINGS MICHAEL KORS

Michael Kors
Finally mine. The little designer bag of my dreams and a great quality rose gold watch. Check! Both had been on my wish list and my personal "Essentials for a timeless Wardrobe"-List. When Larissa sent me a pic of this bag via Whatsapp beginning of this year, I knew it was the one. The little not-so-ordinary designer bag I'd save up on for my timeless wardrobe. I nearly had all the money together with the 100€ gift voucher I got. But then I just lost the voucher. Moment of Horror! Owning this bag seemed so far away again. What a set back! But I was patient.
And then came along the collaboration with Designer Outlet Berlin and a Thank You gift card.
So after holding on very tightly to my new voucher and checking every 10 mins if it was still there, first thing I did after all work was done, was run to the MK Boutique and purchase my new baby. Turns out this baby was even reduced to 139€ from the initial 209€ (original price 339€).

A SPONTANEOUS SHOPPING TRIP TO THE DESIGNER OUTLET BERLIN

Designer Outlet Berlin Michael Kors lisforlois
Last week I got my girls Desi and Nisi to join the mini road trip for a shopping spree at the Designer Outlet Berlin with some really awesome shopping companions.
We were all hot for the new Michael Kors Store at the outlet, which btw is 2x the size of the store at Rosenthaler Straße, and holds lots of treasures from watches, to clutches, sunglasses and so many amazing bags. I immediately fell in love with the little red Michael Kors bowling bag I have been eyeing for a little while. But I didn't get it, because although a great deal at the Designer Outlet Berlin (309€ to 209€) I wasn't sure if I wanted to invest in it yet. I'm going back to get it! Can't stop thinking about it. And honestly I only got my red Mango bag because it reminded me of it.
Instead a bought this really cute Stella McCartney x Adidas collection sports top which was reduced to 15€.

WATCH HUNGER STOP WITH MICHEAL KORS

Michael Kors #watchhungerstop lisforlois

In the month of October Michael Kors dedicated its energy to helping the poor, depraved and hungry in partnership with the United Nations WFP (World Food Programme) by not only designing a watch specially dedicated to this purpose whose entire profit was donated to the WFP (one watch = one hundred meals) but also by raising awareness through the power of social media. October 16th marked the World Food Day and Michael Kors called upon fashion lovers and shoppers to stop by their Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Hong Kong and their two New York boutiques SoHo and Rockerfeller Center to slip into a T-Shirt and get their pictures snapped, displaying the images hashtagged #watchHungerStop on their billboards in NY Times Square.

Together with some friends I stopped by the Berlin Michael Kors Boutique at Rosenthaler Straße to get our pictures snapped, help create a buzz in our own social media channels and even ended up on NY's billboard trice.

As of today 2 140 300 meals have been delivered so far. You can read more about the campaign here and learn how to donate here.

BIRTHDAY WISHLIST

1. MICHAEL KORS Hamilton Bag  2. JENNIFER ZEUNER Necklace  3. NASTYGAL Ring Set  4. NASTYGAL Caged Bracelet  5. NIKE Air Force 1  6. JOSEPH Leopard Sweater  7. SAINT LAURENT PARIS Purse  8. ISSUE 1.3 Olga Pants  9. SHEINSIDE Leather Jacket  10. NASTYGAL Sunglasses  11. HALSTON HERITAGE Cross Body Bag  12. RiRi <3 M.A.C. Talk That Talk  13. NIKE Air Yeezy 14. It's been a while since I've done a wishlist post on my blog and since it's my birthday tomorrow I thought this is the perfect occasion to do one again. To be honest all of the above are things I wouldn't mind owning but it's nothing I'm really dying for. I can't remember the last time I seriously wanted something - oh yes I do, the purple Longchamp Shopper I got for my 17th birthday. Since then all my materialistic wishes have been temporary wishes that come and go and I can surely live without. I'm quite content with what I have at the moment and there's nothing I seriously want or need. (Except well maybe the white Air Force 1 to take me one stop closer to a timeless wardrobe).
Anyway I just wanted to give you the opportunity to shop my wishlist, things I'm currently into and let us dive together into the world of materialistic fulfillment. At the end of the day true wishes are things money can't buy, those things that truly make you happy in the long run as opposed to just a momentarily satisfaction.
I'm really looking forward to a chilled night with my friends tomorrow evening.

Shit am I getting old and wise and poetic already? Relax, I'm turning 20..

PRESS DAYS APRIL 2013

This season I did not rush to all Agencies. I checked out Ontime PR and discovered Zoeva, got a few products from Tony&Guy's hair meets wardrobe collection that I'm very eager to try out, stopped by Schröder&Schombs to visit Franklin&Marshall and had a closer look at Wranglers Spa Jeans and also checked out Urban Outfitters and G-Star (you know G-Star is special for me. The seasonal Bread & Butter fashion show is a must and a fashion week highlight for me!) plus also I got to see the upcoming collection from Aubade Paris up close. Love this brand since Vogue Fashion Night Out 2012. They've got the most amazing underwear. Finally I looked at top brands like Hugo Boss and Michael Kors, amazing of course!
